Product Rewards Contest

Are you ready for a contest?….Well, here’s our 1st

PRODUCT REWARDS AND INK CARTRIDGE CONTEST

It’s that time of year again to send in the Box Tops, Campbell soup labels, Tyson chicken A+ 1-2-3 tabs and ink cartridges you’ve been collecting over the summer.  Our first contest will begin immediately and will end on Friday, October 15, 2010.

Following these guidelines will make it more efficient for us to send in the labels and get “quick” money for our school.

  • Please place all items in a clearly labeled zip-loc bag or envelope.  Including the student’s name and teacher’s name on the zip-loc bag will ensure that the proper class will get credit towards the contest.
  • For Box Tops, cut out the labels along the dotted lines, and include the expiration date.
  • For the Campbell soup labels we need the UPC code from the back, which includes the Campbell’s Label for Education Logo. Please don’t send in the whole label.
  • Parents please send collected items into class with your student or drop off items at the pop-up Campbell’s container located in front of the school office.
  • Each item received will count as 1 point.
  • Classes with the most points will receive:

1st place class will win a PIZZA PARTY!

2ND place class will win a $35.00 gift card!

3rd place class will win a $30.00 gift card!

Gift cards will be used to purchase new games for indoor recess.

The pizza party will be given within 30 days of winning. Date to be determined by teacher. Thanks!  So, send in those box tops and labels and let’s see if we can exceed our $2,200 goal for this school year!!

Happy Clippings!!!

Earn FREE classroom books!

Johnnycake Corners Elementary School (JCES) is participating in a program that can bring FREE books to all our classrooms. It’s called the SunnyD Book Spree, and the program will donate 20 classroom books to every classroom that sends in 20 SunnyD UPC labels.  All books received will be grade appropriate. However, send them in quickly, as the program only runs til November 30, 2010.

Wow! Here’s what we could potentially win above the 20 books per class….

SunnyD will also award hundreds of books to the ten schools that collect the most labels.

Grand prize (5 schools) The 5 schools that collect the most labels will be awarded a grand prize of over 1,250 freebooks.

First prize (5 schools) The next 5 top-collecting schools will be awarded a first prize of over 600 free books

Following these guidelines will make it more efficient for us to send in the labels and get books for our school.

  • Please place UPC’s in a clearly labeled zip-loc bag or envelope. Including the student’s name and teacher’s name on the zip-loc bag will ensure that the proper class will get credit.
  • Parents please send collected UPC’s into class with your student or drop off items at the pop-up Campbell’s container located in front of the school office. We’ll do the rest!

Ronald McDonald House

Collect Those Aluminum Pull Tabs!

We have found another simple way to be of service to our community and our environment. You may have noticed a small red-roofed “house” on our front counter in the foyer. This is a collection box for aluminum pull tabs that will benefit the Ronald McDonald House. As you may know, the Ronald McDonald House is a residence for families whose children are undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital. The money raised from the recycling of the pull tabs allows families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House for free or at little cost.

The tabs can come from pop cans, soup cans, pet food cans – any aluminum tab will work. If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact Jill Shimp.
